Free Comic Book Day is right around the corner! Both Amazing Discoveries (Tucson + Gilbert) will host a plethora of festivities this coming May 6th. Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops. Here is what Amazing Discoveries has to offer this coming event -

Amazing Discoveries Creative Cover Contest

Want to show off your artistic talents and win $100? We’ve got you covered! Amazing Discoveries is looking to discover the next great artistic talent in Arizona. This coming Free Comic Book Day (May 6th), both Amazing Discoveries locations will host a Creative Cover Contest. This contest is open to any aspiring, all the way up to expert, artist that wants to showcase their talent. The rules are easy, stop by any Amazing Discoveries and pick up a blank cover. Work your magic and be sure to submit your masterpiece by May 6th for consideration. Our judges will make their determination and the winners will be announced via Facebook and will be contacted.

Coloring Contest

Pick up a FREE coloring sheet between now and FCBD from either Amazing Discoveries. Show off your coloring talent. Submit your work of art by May 6th.

FAQ

You can submit your own blank cover comic book.
Blank covers bought from Amazing Discoveries will be priced as marked (some are under cover price!)
You must submit your own work. Attempts to submit another’s work will be punished to the full extent.
You don’t have to be present to win.
Submissions are retained by Amazing Discoveries.
One prize per person
25% off Subscription titles is for 6 months. Existing box holders will receive 25% off for each new title added to their box. It reverts to regular discount (15% off) after 6 months.
Two free comics per person. Each person may pick up an additional 3 free comics for each $5 they spend.
