Favorite Recent Comic Book? DC Comics’ Batman
How was your Halloween ComicFest event? It went really well. The event continues to grow for us and our customers have fun with it.
What has been your best promotion or event? Free Comic Book Day for sure. We have a ton of cosplayers, which the attendees really like, and we partner with several local businesses in our area.
What recent changes have you made in the store? We added more racking to give us the flexibility to go to more of a genre racking scheme, and we also started racking trade paperbacks with their respective comic book series.
What steps have you taken to expand your customer base or to reach out to individuals unfamiliar with your store or comics in general? We use social media often and also draw interest from our interactive cosplay groups.
What are your plans for the near future? If possible, we would like to expand our square footage.
How did you choose your store name? Back in the late nineties, we wanted to do some publishing, and Impulse Creations was the name we choose. When the internet business started, followed by the store, we just kept the original name. It implies creativity and excitement and also doesn’t tie us down to a specific product.
What superpower would you most like to have? Super intelligence.
