Kong was created in 1933 for the film King Kong. He's a titanic gorilla from Skull Island, where he lives among other oversized animals and dinosaurs. An incredibly popular series, Kong has been featured in a litany of films--most recently King Kong (2005) by Peter Jackson and the upcoming film Kong: Skull Island releasing on March 10.
