How was your Halloween ComicFest event? Great. Most of the giveaway is offsite. The holiday is about giving things to kids and raising money for charity, in particular Children’s hospitals. We want to bring trick or treat to children that can not leave the hospital.
What has been your best promotion or event? FCBD is largest of the year.
What recent changes have you made in the store? Added exclusive Alex Ross and Bruce Timm limited edition and numbered giclée.
What steps have you taken to expand your customer base or to reach out to individuals unfamiliar with your store or comics in general? Social media outreach. Search engine optimization and viral marketing. Strong outreach to international customer base.
What are your plans for the near future? Expansion of our media, Blastoff media, Blastoff TV. Development of video media for items related to what we sell.
How did you choose your store name? Partner Scott Tipton and I talked about our childhoods and found we shared a love of Ray Bradbury, Flash Gordon and Adam Strange. The name revolves around rocket ships and travel to other planets.
