Free Comic Book Day 2016 Commemorative T-Shirt Designs Revealed

Diamond Comic Distributors is excited to reveal the artwork for the two commemorative artist T-shirts available for Free Comic Book Day 2016. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Free Comic Book Day (FCBD), fans can purchase T-shirt designs created by either award-winning comic book artist Art Baltazar or Francesco Francavilla. These T-shirts, as well as 2016 commemorative poster designs, will be featured in the January issue of Diamond’s PREVIEWS catalog. Both T-shirts and posters are slated to release in stores on April 13, 2016.
Wear a piece of art that encapsulates the fun of comics and FCBD with Art Baltazar’s 2016 FCBD commemorative T-Shirt! Art Baltazar, along with partner Franco, are an Eisner-winning duo known for their fun and youthful style, perfect for fans of all ages. Their artwork for the 2016 FCBD Commemorative T-Shirt reflects their unique style and showcases fan favorite characters from their popular Itty Bitty Hellboy series and Aw Yeah Comics line, while also celebrating fifteen years of FCBD.
Francesco Francavilla’s artwork for the FCBD 2016 Commemorative T-Shirt captures the love of comics and is a great memento for fans! Known for his pulp and retro inspired style, Francesco Francavilla’s artwork is unmistakable and dares readers to dive into a world gone by. His art for the FCBD 2016 Commemorative T-Shirt jumps off the page and shows a wide variety of comic genres, including science fiction, superheroes, horror, and more.
This year, fans can once again purchase shirts in women’s sizes, in addition to adult and youth sizes. The FCBD T-shirts will be available in adult sizes Small to XXXL (MSRP: $14.99-$17.99), women’s V-neck sizes Extra Small to XXL (MSRP: $14.99-$17.99) and in youth sizes Small to Large (MSRP: $11.99). Baltazar’s art is featured on both black and blue T-Shirts, while Francavilla’s shirt appears on black and purple shirts. Both Baltazar and Francavilla’s artwork are also available as limited edition commemorative posters to remember the fun and excitement of 2016's FCBD festivities. All proceeds from the sale of T-shirts and posters go to support Free Comic Book Day's marketing and promotional efforts.
The commemorative Free Comic Book Day T-Shirts and posters, plus the complete listing of the FCBD 2016 titles, will be available in the January issue of PREVIEWS, in comic shops December 23rd.
