Flying Colors Comics & Other Cool Stuff (Concord, CA)

More than 1000 people came through Flying Colors Comics & Other Cool Stuff on FCBD '05. A full third of those visitors had *never* been here before! We had lots of fun--and since this was May we weren't dealing with 90 degree heat like we did last FCBD, so it was a comfortable time for all.

BIG kudos to Simpsons' artist Phil Ortiz and superstar ink-meister Mick Gray (Zatanna, Hawkman, Legion of Super-Heroes). Their signings were scheduled to end at 3:00 PM but they stayed until almost 5:00! Phil, I hope you made your flight back home!

And super-big props to the ever-fabulous Flying Colors' team---all worked long hours and remained happy and energetic! Business was about 4 times a normal Saturday, but the story of the day was all the dedicated Moms coming to FCBD on their special weekend. Moms accounted for 20% of our FCBD attendance!

Other big thanks to the teachers and librarians that posted FCBD posters or gave extra credit for students coming to FCBD.
